I LOVE My Life

I love my life. It isn't perfect by any means but I love it all the same. So this is my love list.
I love the sound of my baby girl happily playing in her crib first thing in the morning. (Even if it is 5:30am)
I love the sight of my husband loading the dishwasher.
I love the smell of my freshly showered, teeth brushed son in the morning.
I love sipping a hot mug of tea.
I love sitting with my hubby, chatting.
I love the smell of the desert.
I love it when baby girl says, "Mama" and is looking right at me with arms outstretched.
I love the sound of the far off train whistle in the middle of the night.
I love that I can stay home with my baby girl and not miss a moment.
I love that hubby works from home 3 days a week.
I love that my son talks to me (a lot) when he gets home from school.
I love when hubby calls as he is leaving work to see if I need anything from the grocery store.
I love that both my sisters and my Mom call me every week.
I love when my son plays with his sister and makes her laugh.

I could go on but baby girl is down by my feet tugging on the cord to the keyboard. Darn, that crawling stuff.

I feel Like A MILLUN BUCKS, I GOT SLEEP!!

So Ellie and I broke out the Taylor Swift and danced in the living room. She loves the Taylor Swift. Mind you, I don't let her watch TV yet, but a purty Taylor Swift vid that we can dance to is just fine. Ellie is having a great time here, can't you tell? Two seconds before she was laughing her head off. Then out came the camera. She is gonna be one of those pretty girls that some condescending Jackwagon says, "Smile Darling, you are so much prettier when you smile."  Oh, wait that was me. If she doesn't ever have to work in a stinkassed bar in Farmington, New Mexico I am hoping that won't ever happen to her. I have high hopes.
Looky here, almost a smile
rut roh, camera spotted

Sad Baby

Little girl ran a fever all night and slept so badly. She is so sad this morning. I just got her down for a second morning nap. The first one lasted all of 20 minutes.

So Freakin Tired Today

My baby son in his backyard.
I am thinking about the kind and gentle version of Ferberizing the baby. She was up at midnight, 2:30-3:00am and then finally 6:00 am for good. DAMN, I AM TIRED. I am pretty sure when I was 29 with my 9 month old son not sleeping well, I wasn't this tired. Who knows. One tends to forget these things. After 17 years the memories fade. Even lots of the good ones. My son said to me the other day that he couldn't visualize the backyard of our old house. He really loved that yard. He said it made him sad to have lost those memories. Suppose that is why we take so many pictures of our life. We all forget. Hopefully soon, I will forget the sleep deprivation and only remember the sweetness of my chubby, cuddly little baby in the middle of the night.

Captured

I am dreaming of autumn colors and crisp mountain air

It is 99 degrees out there in the Sonoran Desert at the moment. We are here in the air conditioned goodness with the ceiling fans whirring, drinking cappuccinos. I am dreaming of autumn colors and crisp mountain air. We are planning a trip to southern Utah soon. To visit my parents. My Mom and Dad live in the tiny town where Mom was raised. I would say born but when she was born they had to drive 50 miles on a gravel road to Moab to the nearest hospital. (How would you like to go on that trip in labor?) So, very soon we will get to experience fall. Instead of waiting til the end of October for fall to appear here.
I can't wait for Ellie to experience a little bit of camping and some black mountain dirt.  Seeing Gammie and Grandpa will be loverly too. They take such good care of us when we are there. Reminds me, I need to schedule a cat sitter.
This is a picture of the horse head on Blue Mountain. It is a right of passage spotting the horse head. My son was like 10 when he finally found it. Funny how you never not see it up there after you have found it.  http://www.visitusa.com/utah/images/abajomountainspic.jpg

Ellie and Daddy early this morning

Now if I was a Stepford Mommy Blogger I would never post this. I mean look at that baby's hair and the Daddy's eyes are half shut. But I love it. Cus this is my life in the mornings and I wouldn't trade it for anything. We are sipping our tea, talking to the baby girl. Life is sweet.

A work in progress

This blog thing is interesting and annoying. I could tweak it all day long and never be satisfied. Ellie Beans just woke from her morning nap and is happily playing in the curtains down by my feet. A little ironic. Start a baby blog to blog about baby while ignoring baby. K, not exactly ignoring baby but not interacting much. How cute is this baby?
