In the shade it was almost pleasant. Ellie loved the park.

Hairy Monsters...Apparently these are indigenous palms. They grow this large around the spring fed stream and lake here.

Our 3 to 1 Adult to toddler ratio was perfect. There was lots of water to fall into here. She really would have liked to have fallen in.

Flashback Friday: Seventeen

                                                                                                                                                                                      This is me at 17 in my best Lady Diana haircut, silk blouse and skirt. I worked at an ice cream parlor for $3.15 an hour to buy this outfit and pay for this haircut. Life was good at times. But I don't want to be 17 again even if it means having that wrinkle free, baby face. I am embracing the me now. (The me with a renewed gym membership). I AM 47 YEARS OLD TODAY!    I have a husband that still puts up with my shit (he really loves me too) and kids that love me and need me. Sisters that still call and visit and parents who can still remember my birthday. So, 47 years old really doesn't suck. Pinkie Promise.
